Farmer Blinkin's farm is being ravaged by ravenous rabbits. No joke - rabbits are dangerous rodents. The internet is serious business. Farmer Blinken needs your help sorting out his farm problems. In this game, you can work alone or with others to rack up points to obtain seeds.

Game Overview

To begin this mini-game, find any of the tool leprechauns scattered across RuneScape. These leprechauns hang out around farming patches. Talk to them to teleport to Farmer Blinken's farm. When you arrive there, you will benear the farmhouse, which is at the center of the farm. You can read the signs or talk to Farmer Blinken to get the info on what is going on.

You will need flags to play this game, which can be bought from Farmer Blinkin or Ms. Winkin for 500 gp. The first 10 flags are free, and if they are placed correctly in the fields (read below), you may get them back. When you have your flags and a spade, jump over one of the stiles around the farm house to enter the fields.

This game is basically just Minesweeper, hence the name, though of course there will probably be a lot of people who've never played Minesweeper, so here we go. The point of them game is to find seeds in holes. To begin, choose a hole and dig. If there isn't a seed nearby the hole you just dug, all adjacent holes to the one you dug will clear. If there are any seeds in the holes nearby, a floating number will appear. This number tells you how many of the eight holes that surround the hole you just dug have seeds in them. For example, if eight floating 1's surround one spot, then that one spot contains a seed, and you will want to put your flag there.

When you put a flag down, it will attract farmers and rabbits. If a farmer gets there first and there is a seed in the hole, he will dig it up and award you points (shown in the corner of the screen) based on your farming level and take the flag (which you can get back for free from Ms. Winkin or Farmer Blinken). If there is no seed in the hole, you lose your flag. If a rabbit gets there first, it will eat the seed and you'll lose the flag. If a rabbit is getting close to one of your flags, use an ogleroot on it (which you will come across as you play) to make it run away and gain 30 Hunter experience.

If you dig up a hole that has a seed in it, you will destroy the seed and lose points. You can check to see if a hole has a seed in it by right clicking it and selecting 'Investigate'. You can't always tells for sure, but most of the time you can determine if there is a seed in the hole or not, though it takes up time. You receive points for any empty holes you dig, any correctly placed flags, and are near to another player who has a correctly placed flag dug up by a farmer.

Rewards

To claim your reward, go see Ms. Winkin, who runs a World of Seeds Shop. Her shop is simple enough - you can exchange whatever points you've earned for any type of seed in RuneScape. The rarest and most expensive seed - the Spirit Seed - costs 55000 points, while Tomato Seeds cost a mere 10 points each. You can also buy flags for 500 points, and if you've completed the Garden of Tranquility Quest, you can buy Super Compost Potions for 5000 points. You can also exchange any points you have for Farming experience.
