Note: This is a 'dangerous' Mini-Game. If you somehow get killed, you will lose your items.
Location: Lord Handelmort's Mansion in Ardougne
Requirements: Must have completed the Back To My Roots Quest
The Jade Vine Mini-Game is a relatively simple game that is like the Tears of Guthix Mini-Game in many respects. There is barely a need for an introduction as a matter of fact, so let's get into it.
Game Overview
To begin this Mini-Game, plant the Jade Vine seed Horacio gave to you at the end of the Back To My Roots Quest. If you lost the seed, ask Horacio for another one. Plant the seed in the West Patch in Lord Handelmort's Mansion. You can tend to it, or let Horacio look after it for a price of 10 wildblood hops (not seeds).
Every 24 hours, you can check the Jade Vine for 1500 Farming experience and prune its branches for 30 Farming experience per branch. If you choose to not prune it for a day, the plant will grow violent, and you will have the option to fight it for 2500 Slayer experience & a small amount of Woodcutting experience.
Fighting the Jade Vine
To fight the ferocious Jade Vine, you will need a pair of secateurs (any type) in your inventory and a woodcutting axe equipped as a weapon. If you remember from the quest, the Jade Vine is a worthy opponent, so it is recommended you bring high level combat equipment and food; prayer potions, antipoison potions, and even super potions are also a good idea.
The vine attacks with melee and magic and can hit for a whopping 10. If you get poisoned, the poison usually does 7 damage. You must wield a woodcutting axe, and you will need to clear the stump at the end of the fight. For defeating the Jade Vine, you will be awarded 2500 Slayer experience & a small amount of Woodcutting experience.
Once you kill the wild Jade Vine, you will get another seed. Again, if your Jade Vine dies or you lose your seed, you can ask Horacio for another one.
