Fatigue's purpose is to prevent autoplaying, When you gain experience in anything, your fatigue percentage will go up, which you can find on the stats menu:
After you gain 100% Fatigue you will no longer gain experience, but be able to do everything you normally can except in the skills: Mining, Fishing and Woodcutting.
This can be used to your advantage if you don't want to gain experience in certain skills any longer to prevent leveling(Example: Magic).
Now that you know that, You'll need to know how to lower your fatigue, which is common sense really:
Sleep: To sleep, you'll need to find a bed or have a sleeping bag in your inventory and click to rest.
Beds: Found in many buildings all over RuneScape, this reduces your fatigue almost instantly.
Sleeping Bags: When you begin RuneScape, you are given one on Tutorial Island. You may purchase these all over RuneScape in any General Store for 39 coins. Whilst it can be carried everywhere, it's disadvantage is that it reduces your fatigue very slowly compared to a bed.
During your rest, You will see a randomized word at the bottom of your screen, and your fatigue percentage at the top. You must type in the word, if you want to wake up, and press enter when you're happy with how much your fatigue is reduced.
If you fail to type the word correctly, you will be given a new one, there is also an option to get a new word if you cannot read your current one:
If you are attacked whilst you are sleeping you will automatically awaken but failed to restore your fatigue.
