By: Seiferoth
Start point: Talk to the Stranger(Vanstrom Klause) in the corner of the Hair of the Dog Tavern in Canifis
Requirements: Must have completed Priest in Peril and Nature Spirit Quests, Level 25 Agility and the ability to defeat a level 97 foe
Items Required: Some Coins,1 Steel Longsword, 2 Steel shortswords, 1 Steel Dagger, 1 Steel Mace, and 1 Steel Warhammer, Druid pouch(with 30 'nature' in it), Silver Sickle(b), 6 planks, 225 steel nails, and a hammer.
Specific Item Information
Planks: Can be bought in Mort'ton shop after Shades of Mort'ton Quest. It is recommended you do that quest first if you can, but if you do not wish to you can find planks at Barbarian Outpost or in the Wilderness.
Silver Sickle(b): Sickle Mould is sold in Al Kharid Crafting Store. Craft a Sickle at a furnace with one silver bar. The Silver Sickle can be blessed by using it on the altar in the Grotto of Mort Myre.
How to Acquire Druid Pouch(with 'nature'): This was from the Nature Spirit Quest, You'll find the Pouch in the Grotto, and You'll have to Cast Bloom on various logs, bushes and branches in the swamp to obtain items from nature to Fill the Pouch, This is my favorite spot to cast bloom, in the western portion of the swamp, it has 2 Bushes, 3 branches and 3 logs:
I'd recommend 30 natures in your druid pouch
- Speak to the Stranger(Vanstrom Klause), in the corner of the bar in Canifis, He'll be sitting on a chair. He'll tell you his friends are in trouble, and that some see them as terrorists, whilst others think of them as freedom fighters! He says his friends need weapons, and that the boatman in Mort'ton might be able to help!
- After you speak to him, head south with the steel weapons through Mort Myre to the eastside town of Mort'ton. Speak to Cyreg Paddlehorn. He'll be resistant and say "It's too dangerous!" to help the Myreque anymore.
- Now you'll have to persuade the boatman to let you use his boat, meaning you'll have to go through all the chat options until you find the option "What kind of man are you to say that you don't care?", which then he'll allow you to us it, as long as you have something to protect yourself from the Ghasts.
- Once you show the boatman the pouch, he'll tell you, that you need 6 planks(3 for him, and 3 for you) which can be bought at the shop in Mort'ton. Give him the planks, and he'll tell you once you get to the Hollows, Head north until you find an unusual tree.
- Pay him 10 gp to use the boat, once you get to the Hollows. Head north until you find an unusual tree and climb up it. As you walk the bridge, you'll need to repair the planks as you walk along it. Climb down the other side of the bridge when you're done.
- Walk north and speak to Curpile Fyod, Tell him you want to help the Myreque, he's suspicious of you and asks you questions before he unlocks the doors. The following should help you with the questions, you can also ask the boatman to find out more about the Myreque.
Radigad Ponfit: Mercenary from Asgarnia.
Veliaf: The Leader
Ivan: The Youngest of the Group
Sani Piliu: The Girl
Harold Evans: A bit hot headed.
Polmafi Ferdygris: The Brains, Used to be a Clever Scholar.
Family that rules Morytania: Drakens.
Reason they're named the Myreque: 'hidden in the myre'
- After you've answered the questions correctly, head north a bit and open the wooden doors. Look inside for Stalagmite to squeeze-past to a secret entrance:
- Once you're in you'll be in the presence of the Myreque. Speak to their leader, Veliaf Hurtz. Then introduce yourself to everyone else and ask questions.
- Warning: Be prepared for a fight Once you're done speak to Veliaf again.. and a shifting mist will enter the room! It's Vanstrom! He tricked you! and He kills two of the Myreque members(Sani and Harold)! Now you must kill his pet! He's really easy, You shouldn't need any food or prayer unless you have low defense:
- After you've killed him, he'll drop 4 big bones, and 2 uncut rubies. Talk to Veliaf again, ask him to how to get out and he'll tell you of a hidden entrance through a secret wall, which leads to the inn. Leave the room and head north and go through the secret wall and up the ladder and you'll be near the Hair of the Dog Tavern. Talk to the Stranger in the corner who seems oddly 'familiar'...
