A Soul's Bane Quest

This is a members-only quest.

Start Point: Talk to Launa at the rift northwest of the digsite
Items Needed: Rope, Combat Gear & food (you have to fight off large numbers of low leveled enemies (around level 50 or so); they aren't that hard to defeat but can deal damage over time)
Requirements: None

To start this quest, talk to Launa at the large Rift, northwest of the digsite. Follow the road out of east Varrock like you are going to Canifis.

Launa asks if you've seen her son Tolna, who ran away years ago. She asks you to go down into the Rift, and being the hero you are, you of course agree to. Use the rope with the rift, then climb down. Once you enter, you'll see a Weapon Rack, and a Rage Level at the top of the screen.

Grab the spear, and attack the Angry Bear. You should hit massive damage. Go back and grab the Angry Sword, and start killing Angry Unicorns. Use the Angry Mace with the Angry Giant Rats, and the Angry Battleaxe with the Angry Goblins. Once you have a full Rage Level, demons will fly out of you and kill everything in sight. You'll see a cutscene of Tolna running away from his house and mother. Once you return to the cave, go through the exit on the East wall.

You'll enter the Fear Room. Begin to look in the Dark holes until you see the Fear Reaper.

Defeat him, then keep looking in the Dark Holes until you find him again. Defeat him again, and continue until you aren't scared anymore. Head to the West side of the room, and enter the Black hole.

You'll enter the Room of Confusion. Keep attacking the demented backwards baboon looking monsters randomly until you manage to do damage to one, then kill it. This will cause one of the Confusion Doors to vanish, and a new set of crazy creatures will appear. Keep doing this until they're all dead, then enter the remaining door.

Attack and kill all of the Hopeless Creatures. When you first get one to zero health, it will shrink. When you kill it again, it will shrink again. In this last form, when you kill it, it will be gone for good. Kill all of the Hopeless Creatures to make a bridge appear in the ravine.

Cross it, then use the exit. You'll see a cutscene of Tolna as a three headed monster thing, and his father Brana talking to it.

Fight the three Tolna heads, and an older Tolna will appear. Talk to him, then you'll be transported back outside. Talk to Tolna again to complete the quest.

Congratulations! Quest complete!

Rewards: 1 Quest Point, 500 Defence and Hitpoints EXP, 500 coins, and access to the Dungeon of Tolna
