RuneWeb - Creature Creation

Creature Creation

By: Data/Loggy

This is a members-only feature.

Creature Creation is a simple (and actually a bit pointless) activity you can participate in after completion of the Tower of Life quest. You can create some odd monsters and get some items from them - though I won't lie, at this point they really aren't very useful.

The above monster is a Unicow, by the way.

Anywho, to start off, head to the Tower of Life, south of Ardougne where the quest took place, and use the trapdoor to go into the basement of the tower.

The Homunculus is floating around down there, and you can talk to him if you want to. But the real point are the altars. Spread through the basement are six different altars that you can choose to 'Inspect' or 'Activate'.

For the sake of example, let's do a walkthrough of one altar - we'll use the Southern Altar, on the western side of the entrance ladder.

If you inspect, it will tell you the two items you need to activate it. In this altars case, you will need a raw chicken and a raw swordfish.

When you have these items, use both of them with the altar. When you have done that, select the option to 'Activate' the altar. You'll get a notice from the Homunculus.

When you activate the altar, a NPC will appear near you. Each of the six different altars spawns a different monster - it will be a sort of mix of the NPC's that drop the items you have to offer to the altar. In the case of this altar, the created monster is a Swordchick, level 46.

The Swordchick is not a difficult foe, and, in fact, neither are any of the other monsters. Anyone level 60 or so with decent equipment can defeat the monsters here.

When you defeat the Swordchick or any of the other monsters, it should drop bones, along with a random number of one of the items you offer. The following tables will give you more info on the altars and monsters.

Altar Location	Required Items	Image
Southeastern Altar	Red Spider Eggs, Raw Sardine
Southwestern Altar	Raw Swordfish, Raw Chicken
Northwestern Altar	Unicorn Horn, Cow Hide
Northeastern Altar	Chicken Feather, Eye of Newt
East Altar	Raw Jubbily, Raw Lobster
West Altar	Giant Frog Legs, Raw Cave Eel

Altar	Monster	Image	Combat	Reward

In addition to the drops listed in the above table, it is also possible to obtain a satchel by killing any of the creations. They come in seven different varieties: black, gold, green, plain, red, and rune. Each satchel can hold a triangle sandwich and a cup of tea.
