Note: This is a 'dangerous' Mini-Game. If you somehow manage to die while playing, you will lose your items.

Location: Talk to Ali Morrisane near the stalls in Al Kharid

Requirements: Must have completed the Rune Mysteries, Icthlarin's Little Helper, and The Feud Quests

Getting Started

To begin, speak with Ali Morrisane near the stalls in the northern region of Al Kharid.

It appears he wants to expand his shop to other ventures. He will want you to speak to three people for him, and ask them to let him sell some of their wares from his stores. These people are shown in the table below.

Man
Location
Aubury, the Rune Salesmen
Varrock, just south of the east bank
Blackjack Seller
Pollniveach, can be reached by riding the magic carpet just outside the Shantay Pass
Siamun, the tailor
Sophanem, can be reached by riding the magic carpet twice

The items below are the ones you'll need for this Mini-Game.

See Aggie in Draynor Village
3 Animal Skins *
Bear fur, Cow hide, Wool, or even Dragonhide
Coins
1000 coins (or so)

* - You will need either the three dyes or the three animal skins.

When you go to each person and convince them to work with Ali, Ali Morrisane's shop will change in stocks and price. At the end of each of the following sections you will be notified how.

Runes

Ali wants to sell runes at his store, so you need to see Aubury. Teleport to Varrock after speaking with Ali and go to the rune store located near the eastern bank. Talk to Aubury about Ali's proposition and he will agree to this and send the runes to Ali.

The next time you speak with Mr. Morrisane, he will have received the runes. He has two locked caskets of runes, a small one and a large one, which need opened before he can sell you any. You can attempt to pick the lock, force the lock, or examine it and try to figure out the puzzle. You can either try to open the small casket, which will reward you with the ability to buy elemental runes, or the large casket, which will yield both elemental and higher level runes.

The smaller caskets lock can usually be picked open, or if you want to solve the Sudoku puzzle, it is an easy one. Once you have opened it once you can always access it again. The larger casket, however, has a hard 9 by 9 Sudoku grid, and is a good deal challenging. Once you open it the first time, you can either choose to buy every rune in the casket for a set price (the amount of runes will be random), or you can select to look at what runes at inside and then buy what amount you wish, though they will be more expensive.

Sudoku

This section is totally optional: if you are not a puzzle oriented person, I suggest stick with buying runes for the regular asking price, though it is cheaper to buy them in bulk for the set price.

The whole point of Sudoku is to unlock Ali's Discount Rune Store. If you plan to buy the whole large casket for a set price, you should bring about 100,000 coins because the prices always change.

Sudoku is a Japanese a game using Numbers and Rows to make each row unique. The point is to arrange the runes in a column where they don't repeat in any way.

When you complete a puzzle, click "Open Casket" to access the Rune Shop. The larger casket is a 9x9 Grid Sudoku puzzle, as mentioned. When you have completed the puzzle, click Open Casket.

Prices

The table below shows the range of prices you will find in the casket if you choose to see what the prices are and not buy the whole casket for a set price. The elemental runes are relatively inexpensive.

Blood Rune
420-440 gp
Body Rune

Clothing

Talking with Ali Morrisane also reveals he wishes to sell some clothing as well. Thus, head to Siamun the tailor, located in Sophanem, which can be reached by riding a few magic carpets. Siamun will agree to supply Ali with clothes only if you bring him either three animal hides or three dyes.

If you give him the hides, he will supply Ali with simple Desert Clothes. If you give him the dyes, he will supply Ali with some fancier Menaphite Clothes. The clothing is relatively inexpensive.

BlackJacks

After you have spoken with Ali Morrisane about blackjacks you can head to south east Pollnivneach via magic carpet and speak with the blackjack dealer there. Tell him about Ali's business proposition, and he will agree - however he needs help deciding to supply Attack Blackjacks or Defence Blackjacks.

He has the idea to whack you in the head a few times - if you accept this challenge and are standing after two hits, he will supply Ali with attack jacks; otherwise, you can choose a 'cunning plan' option, during which you will have to pay a street urchin 100 gp to steal from the dealer, who will then decide to supply Ali with defence blackjacks. You can go back to the dealer anytime and do either the challenge or the cunning plan to change the blackjack supply. The blackjacks are between 400 and 1600 coins.
