Start Point: Speak with Veliaf
Items Needed: 2 Planks, 8 Nails, a Hammer, a Knife, 1,800 GP (Optional), an Ectophial or If you have a Kharyll Portal, House Tele-Tablets (for teleportation), Charcoal and Papyrus (obtained in the quest), Runes for Telekinetic Grab (obtained in the quest)

Veliaf Hurtz is located in the Myreque Base Camp, located in the basement in Burgh de Rott.

After you speak to him, he will tell you that the basement of the inn will be their new command base, and that he has scheduled some intelligence missions in the Sanguinesti region. He asks that you help him scout a new route into the Sanguinesti region and to find if there are still any active members of the Myreque still there. He asks you to try and find an alternate route into the region due to the high wall in the east patrolled by the Vyrewatch.

Head to the southern portion of Burgh de Rott, and search the old boat. You will see that it is in need of repair. With your hammer, planks, and nails in you inventory, repair the rickety old boat. Head a little bit south of the boat and search the Boat Chute. With your remaining plank and nails, repair the chute. Once you have pushed to boat in the water, board the boat using the dock to your east.

Once you have landed, climb up the broken wall, and run on top of the walls north until you reach the corner of the wall where it angles north.* When you walk by them, you will see on your chat menu, "The floorboard seem to squeak a little as you go past." Choose the option to "kick" the boards and then "climb down". Head a little bit north, and climb over the wall of rubble.

*Note: If you are halted by one of the Vyrewatch, try to sneak away from them. If that is not possible, they will give you a little bite dealing minimal damage.

Head just a bit northeast, and speak to a Meiyerditch citizen. Whisper your questions to hear, and ask her about the myreque. She will tell you to find Old Man Ral, who lives in the center of sector one.

Head northeast, into the city. As soon as you enter the town, Old Man Ral will be directly north. His house is just west of the long alley way, a bit northeast of Trader Sven's house Tell him that someone told you that he could help you. Then tell him the people called him "Old Man Ral, the Sage of Sanguinesti". He will tell you that you need to follow the symbols to get to sector three, where the Myreque are.

*Note: (This is optional) Before heading through the maze of buildings, speak to Trader Sven and purchase the Vyrewatch top, legs, and boots for 1.8K, or the Citizens top, legs, and boots for 18 GP. All this provides you with is some prevention from the Vyrewatch noticing you, saving your hitpoints.

Note: This sickle is the symbol Old Man Ral is refering to. It will guide through the route to get through to Vertida Sefalatis. Try to find it if you get lost on the long route.

Head just a little bit southwest into the small house (Not with Trader Sven in it, the house direclty west of that) and climb up the ladder in that house. Just south of the bed, you can jump to the floorboards on the other house's roof. From there, jump the floorboards into the room on the east. Head north and push down the wall, then walk across it. Crawl under the wall right in front of you, then head north, into the room. On your west side, there will be another wall you can push and walk over. Once you get across, climb down the ladder. Search the table inside the room, and head down the trapdoor it reveals.

You will walk under the tunnel into the next house. From there, climb up the shelves on the northern part of the house. Crawl under the wall to the east, and jump to the floorboards of the other house.

Climb down the ladder, head east, and search the pots. You will find a door key to unlock the door on your east side. Weave east through the house, and up the ladder. Jump the floorboards to the south. Head east out of the room, then south to the shelves. Climb up the shelves, head west, and climb up the ladder. On the southern side, jump the the other roof of the house and climb down the ladder.

Head east, and walk across the washing line. Head down the ladder, and push the wall down to the north to walk across it. Before entering the other house, there will be a shelf on the west side of the wall of the house to the north. Climb up the shelf, then head east down the other shelf. On the north side, jump to the other roof of the house, then into the other house.

Head north and jump to the eastern house. Climb up the ladder and search the wall to the west to recieve the topmost part of a ladder. Climb back down the ladder, and use the ladder top on the broken ladder and climb down.

Open the door and head north until you reach the house where there is a portrait of a Vyrewatch holding a key on the southern wall of the house and head through it. (The portrait is hard to see until you are inside, or right near the house, refer to the mini-map picture above). Go through the door to the west, and head into that room. Head further north from that house and you will find a the wall with the symbol of the sickle on it, from there, head east from the sickle symbol, and into the house on the south with the ladder inside of it. Climb up the ladder, and jump across the building to the east.

Climb down the stairs and head to the south to where there is a wall you can search. Use your Knife on the wall, and push it open. Press the decorated wall and right click the Lumpy Rug to open it so you can climb down the trap door.

You will be inside a cavern. Head west until you reach the wall, then north until you see Vertida Sefalatis. You will convinve him that you are trying to help the Myreque. He will ask you to take a message to Veliaf that the Sanguinesti order of the Myreque is operational.

Head back to Burgh de Rott and deliver the message to Veliaf. You will tell him that you have a message for him from Vertida. He tells you that he has heard disturbing news from Paterdomus which needs to be investigated. He wants you to speak to Drezel and ask him about the activities near Paterdomus.

Drezel is located in the temple on the River Salve, west of Canifis. Speak to him and you will tell him that Veliaf has sent you to investigate some 'strange goings'. Drezel tells you to check around the building because Ivan has said he heard some strange noises recently. If you ask him if anyone has reported anything unusual, he will direct you to the west side, beyond the temple. Head down the stairs and search the bushes to the south.

You will be shown it a cut scene being knocked out by some werewolves, just before you manage to uncover the body you found lying unconcious near the bushes. Speak to Drezel and tell him what happened to you. He will tell you to speak to King Roald as soon as possible. He gives you the teleport runes to go to Varrock.

Speak with King Roald, in the eastern part of the Varrock Castle. You will speak to him about Morytania and of the brave freedom fighters, the Myreque, as well as Drakan. You will plead King Roald to send troops, but King Roald's advisor, Aeonisig Raispher urges him not to agree to your plea due to his prediction of another God War as well as the Guthixian Edicts. Instead, King Roald issues a Mercenary Protocol which might let more troops from Misthalin to help support the Myreque. You will have to go back and report this news to Drezel, then Veliaf.

After you have told Drezel of the news, head back to Burgh de Rott, and speak to Veliaf of the news. After you tell him the news, he will ask you to inform the Sanguinesti order of the Myreque of these events. Head back the same way you came to Meiyerditch. If you need to, use the guide above to track your way back to the hideout. When you arrive, speak to Vertida and you will tell him that the werewolves have managed to get past the River Salve. He will then tell you that you should go to Safalaan so that he hears this news. If you ask him, he will tell you that Safalaan is on a misson sketching the castle Drakan, and that he has taken the wall route so you will need to do the same. Make sure you ask Vertida, "What Should I do now?" before heading to the wall. Vertida says that he will take you there himself. He takes you back to where you began the route to the hideout.

Head down the ladder and go outside the house. Head south outside the city slums and back over the wall of rubble to the west where you first entered the city. Head back up the floor boards to the south, then run north, up the wall until you reach the ladder to climb down. Search the Rocky Surface, then head north, through the barricade. Head north through the wall, then climb up the ladder. Run north, up a ladder to cross a platform, then back down the ladder at the opposite end. Keep running north until you are at a junction with Safalaan standing there.

Speak to Safalaan and explain to him that you went to see King Roald to ask for troops, but the Guthixian Edicts caused a problem. After that, you will explain to him your assault at Paterdomus. Ask him if you can help him at all. He tells you that he needs a few sketches of the northern, western, and southern sides of the castle, and he wants you to get them for him. He suggests that you sketch the north first, then the western side, then the southern aspect.

Head west from Safalaan, on top of the thinner wall, and run along it. Keep heading west in a circle around the entire castle until you are on the northern side of the thinner wall. You will see a Sickle Symbol on the top of the wall you are standing on. Stand on it and use your Charcoal and Papyrus with each other to make the first sketch. Head back west around the castle again and stand on the symbol on the west side of the castle to take another sketch.

When you do this second one, you will be shown a cutscene where you see Vanstorm Klause speaking with the Drakans telling them of more maximum yield from the current rotation as well as more tithes. Then, they feast on the blood tithes. After the cut scene, head back east and take your last sketch on the platform withe Sickle Symbol on it.

While you begin to sketch, Vanstorm will come attack you. Do not panic, you will not die. This is all part of the cut scene. You will be knocked to the ground, but are saved by Sarius Guile who wants you to stay alive for questioning. Remember to go back and finish the last sketch again. Yet again, head back down south, and head back to the hideout. If you need to, use the guide above to track your way back to the hideout.

Once you have reached Safalaan in the hideout, you will tell him how a woman named Saruis saved your life. Give him your sketches you made and he will ask you about Sarius and the message she gave to you to give to him. The message is "...secreted behind tiles, where smoke is carried away from the depiction of statuesque evil." He wants you to investigate the message.

Head back up the cavern, run north, pushing through the wall, and up the stairs. Jump across the building to the west, and climb down the ladder. Head back through the alley west, then once you reach the symbol of the sickle, head south into a house, then east through the door, into the room with the portrait of the Vyrewatch. (If you are having trouble reaching the house with the portrait, refer to the mini-map picture in the guide to reach the hideout). Use your knife on the portrait, then search it to recieve a large ornate key. After you have taken the key, head just a bit north to the fireplace. Look at the fireplace and then use your knife on it to recover a message inside the tiles. The message is written by Mauritys Guile. He mentions that he is fed up with aiding the vyres because all they want is more and more blood. He mentions a laboratory that lies northeast of Meiyerditch, south of the mines, north of Trakerel's Fish Shop, and east of the Skull in a Chest Inn.

Head back to Salafaan in the hideout, and show him what you have found. He asks you to look for this laboratory. Head back up out of the cavern, push through the door, and the up the stairs. Head west over the floorboards into the other house, and then down the ladder. Head north out the door, straight through the house and follow the alley ways northeast, not going into anymore houses, until you reach a house with a tapestry on the wall. (If you are having trouble reaching the house with the tapestry, refer to the mini-map picture above). Use a knife with the tapestry, and walk into the room. Search the Vampyre statue in the south corner of the room, then use your key with it. Head through the door to your east, and down the staircase.

You will find a battered Laboratory. Head west and search the broken rune case to recieve 1 Law Rune, 3 Fire Runes, 3 Air Rune, 1 Water Rune, and 1 Mind Rune. Head a bit further south, and use the runes to tele-grab the Haemalchemy book. After you have it, head back to Safalaan. Hand the book to him and he will tell you that it is a book detailing the weaknesses of the Vampyres. He will ask you to deliver a message to Veliaf, but he will give you a key that will unlock the doors to the first and second sectors of Sanguinesti.

Head back to Burgh de Rott, speak with Veliaf, and hand him the message. He will then tell you that Safalaan has recommended you for promotion to the rank of a private within the Myreque regulars. For your trouble, he also gives you a tome of experience.
