Magic: Ancient Magick Spells

The XP stated for all damage-inflicting spells is the base XP; the more damage you inflict on your opponent when casting this spell, the more bonus XP you will receive.

Ancient Magick

Ancient Magick is arguably the strongest combat magic. They can do damage like no other spell; hitting multiple targets, poisoning, leeching HP and even freezing your opponents.

You cannot use Ancient Magick or obtain the Ancient Staff till you complete the Desert Treasure Quest. (The Ancient Staff allows automatic and speedier casting of Ancient Magick Spells, which is covered below.) To change your spellbook between regular magic and Ancient Magick, you must return to the pyramid south of the Bandit Camp, enter in the back entrance, and pray at the altar there.

There are 4 types of spells, 7 teleportation locations and 4 types of elements:

Please note: The 'Burst' and 'Barrage' spell types are Multi-target, castable only in multi-combat areas and will hit a 9 square area (i.e: the opponent is the centre of a 3x3 grid). Be warned, you will hit your friends if they are in this area, regardless of any Wilderness capes being worn. In addition, these spells will only work in a 'Multi-Combat Area'.

Edgeville Home Port

There is a special teleport spell that can be cast anywhere, by anyone, without any use of runes. The Edgeville Home Port is available to all players - it requires no runes or even magic level. This spell will teleport you to Edgeville.

While it is free and useful, be careful with it. Casting it takes much longer then most spells, and it will be interrupted by combat. After casting it, you must also wait 30 minutes to cast it again.
